competition is hard enough. you concentrate on that - let mick do the rest.

With over fifteen years as an elite sports coach, Mick provides the essential support and vision for athletes of any level to achieve their goals. That means you can focus on achieving your best, secure in the knowledge that your physical, nutritional and psychological needs have all been met.

Mick Miller Sport Management Services looks after all factors that influence the success of athletes, including:

Strength and conditioning:
An athlete's body is their engine; keep it in top condition and it will perform at its best. Whether you need a better plan for fitness, are sidelined by injury, or need a motivating coach, Mick offers a complete package to keep you injury free and and hitting your targets.

Competition preparation:
The lead up to any major competition can be fraught with stress; both the pressure of performance expectations and the requirements for an ideal lead-up can snowball into overwhelming obstacles just days before competing. Emphasising a perfectly tapered training program, leaving you fresh for competition, Mick can ensure that your nutrition, mental preparation and confidence are at their peak. He'll get you fully prepared for battle.

Motivation:
What gets you out of bed for an early morning training session? What makes you train even harder when all the chips are down? What keeps you going when a day on the couch seems so much easier? Your goals. Your dreams. Your determination. This is motivation. But you don't have to do it alone. Mick can help you identify your dream, review your goals, and keep them in the forefront of your mind.

Time Management:
Mick can help you beat the clock. He'll work you to create a schedule that balances your commitments, and leaves you time to unwind. Mick emphasised practical relaxation techniques that work for you, from yoga and meditation or a night out with friends to the adrenaline rush of adventure sports. The ideal daily routine is structured enough to manage your time, but flexible enough to adapt to interruptions. Mick can show you how it's done.

Pressure Performance:
You're serving to stay in the match. You've just served 3 double faults. This is it. The adrenaline rush roars through your ears. Beads of sweat inch down your forehead. The time is now: don't screw it up. These are at once the most exciting and the most terrifing few seconds. What happens next? Confidence is everything under pressure. You must be able to rely on the techniques you've practised over and over in training: simple breathing techniques can be enough to refocus your energy onto the task at hand. When you've over-trained for this very moment, competition is easy. Mick can show you how.

Nutrition:
Good nutrition is one of the hardest factors of good preparation to balance, especially for an athlete on the run between training, work, school, friends, family...When you're strapped for time, and exhausted after a hard training session, skipping meals or grabbing whatever's handy seems like the easy option. But it's at these times, when you're stetched in all directions, that your body needs a good nutritional plan to rely on. Mick can help you get into good eating habits, develop balanced nutritional strategies, and fuel your body for optimum performance.

Team-Building:
A team is not made of great individuals. A team is made of cohesion, trust, and ultimate respect for your teammates. From a team of 2 to a team of 30, you need a common goal to reach for. A great team needs stablity and security, created in an atmosphere of hard work and fun. Mick can help create that atmosphere. Working with the team as a whole, and the individuals within it, Mick will make sure you have power in numbers - not just numbers.
